Hi gang,
How-To Geek Forums / Windows 7
I hope you all had a great Christmas & New Years, now for my 1st easy question for 2013.
I want to remove something but, when I click on it in the Control Panel, it tells me;
ERROR
Messages file 'C:Program FilesInbox Toolbarunins000.msg' is missing. Please correct
the problem or obtain a new copy of the program.
If I try to uninstall, using the control panel, I get a message that the Iobit Advanced System Care Ultimate unins000.msg' is missing. I upgraded my free Malwarebytes 2.0 (something) to 3.2.2.2029 recently, and was offered a trial version which I accepted. Then after the trial version expired, I tried to reinstall my earlier version of Malwarebytes that worked with my stand-alone version of Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit.
Leaving me to believe I tried to uninstall it before and did it 1/2 A$$, what do you think
or is there a way I can just delete it?? Please advise.........
Thanks,
Robin
You could just delete the folder and search the registry for entries of same and delete them too. Also search the C Drive and delete. Running CCleaner will give you the option to backup the registry before you do the above, just in case. Check for Add-ons in whatever browsers you use too.
@ Lighthouse,
Not a problem, I should have known better.
@ gedstar,
I don't know much about computers which means: All instructions must be in 'MAJOR LAYMAN TERMS'!
Thanks,
Robin
@ gedstar,
I searched on the C Drive after one of the IT at work told me the extra step I needed to take, found it and deleted it!
I rebooted, checked the Control Panel to verify it was gone and 'IT WAS'!!
Thanks for your help,
Robin

OS: Windows 10
So I've been trying to figure out how to go about uninstalling EaseUS and I keep getting this message telling me that I am missing this 'unins000.msg' file and I'm not sure how to correct the problem. I tried to re-install it but not only is eset blocking the download but Windows refuses to run the installer as well.
Does anyone have the files: 'unnins000.msg' and 'unins000.dat'? The .dat is because I seen people were having a problem with that missing as well. I think it would be nice to have it just in case.
Otherwise if anyone else knows how to get rid of it that doesn't require a:
-
System restore
-
System image
-
Or their remover tool
because:
-
My last backup has EaseUS in it
-
I can't make any backups because of some error I'm getting that I think I'm getting because of EaseUS
-
And my computer outright blocks the remover.
Solution: Just used revo to uninstall it
